Every year we remember our past president, Cathy Clarry, and honor our Skokie Valley Skating Club members’ academic achievements by awarding the Cathy Clarry Memorial Merit Award.

We encourage all eligible Junior and Collegiate club members to apply for our scholarship award using the application form found on this page. Applications are submitted either by mail, postmarked by April 1, or emailed no later than 11:59 PM CT on April 1. Please see the form for details. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award mid-year.

Cathy Clarry
1954-2003

Cathy was an educator, a skater, a judge, and an official. She took great pride in the sport of skating and was especially proud of those athletes who balanced school and skating. The scholarship was established after her death in 2003 to encourage the qualities of scholarship and athleticism she fostered in her life.
