In Memoriam
This page is a tribute to the members of Skokie Valley Skating Club who have left a lasting mark on our community. They were skaters, volunteers, coaches, and leaders — people whose dedication and love for the sport shaped the club we are today.
Though they are no longer with us, their memory lives on in the club they helped build.
Paul Scheuer
(1943 – 2026)
Paul served our club as a skater, board member, Dance Test Chair, and dedicated test session volunteer. He gave generously of his time and spirit. So many of our members will remember Paul as the kind, bearded man who greeted them at test sessions — quietly checking skaters in, offering a calm presence, and helping the session run smoothly. His warmth, reliability, and love for the sport made a lasting impression on generations of skaters and families.
We are grateful for everything he gave to our community.
