Frequently Asked Questions

All memberships expire annually on June 30 and renewed memberships are effective annually on July 1. The Membership renewal period begins each year on June 1, and you can renew for the upcoming membership year any time after that date. To be eligible for any U.S. Figure Skating tests and competitions, membership must be current. New membership applications and renewal of lapsed membership are open at all times during the year.
Registration for Skokie Valley Skating Club and U.S. Figure Skating membership is hosted on EntryEeze:

A Letter of Permission is required for any competition, test, or event outside of your "Home Club." The letter confirms that you have a U.S. Figure Skating membership in good standing.

Letters of Permission are issued annually at the time of the membership renewal or application for new membership and are accessible at any time during the year on EntryEeze

A Blanket Letter of Permission (Permission Letter) is sent to each club member following registration. Download the PDF file and use it for each separate activity requiring a letter of permission. You or your coach can contact the competition, event or test chair to inquire if a Permission Letter is required.

If you have misplaced your Blanket Letter of Permission and you require another copy, please visit EntryEeze and follow this process:

  1. Towards the right side of the page under the top banner, click on “Find your home club” in the Membership / Testing Menu
  2. Type in Skokie Valley Skating Club in the club search field and click “Go to the club”
  3. Click “Access my account”
  4. After entering your login credentials, click the “Download permission form” on your Personal Info page.
